Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Serbia Theodorus Antonius Reintjes about bilateral relations, economic cooperation and the support of the Netherlands to the European integration of Serbia.

Brnabic pointed out that the priority is to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, bearing in mind a number of areas of mutual interest.

When it comes to economic cooperation, she assessed that Serbia is committed to improving cooperation in the field of the economy and increasing trade and Dutch investments, especially of large multinational companies that come from this country.

Speaking about the process of European integration, the Prime Minister said that full membership in the European Union remains one of the most important foreign policy priorities of Serbia, and informed the Ambassador about several more important steps in the field of rule of law, justice and media freedom.

The Dutch Ambassador welcomed the efforts that Serbia is undertaking for reforms in the area of ​​the rule of law, emphasising once again the commitment to cooperation and support to Serbia in this domain and the further strengthening of institutions capacity in the country.

The Prime Minister wished the Dutch ambassador a lot of success in the new mandate, with the expectation that during it bilateral relations between the two countries will be raised to a higher level through strengthening political cooperation and interstate dialogue.
